All PC’s using VITAL On-Line services are required to have electronic messaging installed.  This allows us to notify clients of necessary and required changes to their software.  This will assist all network users within any client location to be notified of important Windows and Security updates by VITAL Technical Support (VCOMTECH).  If your location has not yet been enabled with these features...please call us immediately to schedule a site review by a VITAL representative, so that we may serve you better.

All Municipalities connected to VITAL On-Line services may be integrated into existing LAN’s using Ethernet standards, and IP network standards.  The methods and features require very little expertise to use and are available at No Additional Charge to our contracted clients.  With the Internet and Intranet capabilities, all of our clients can have at their fingertips the latest in electronic technology.

VITAL's network covers 90% of the map of New Jersey, there is no better or inexpensive way to provide Internet access throughout your municipal complex.  VITAL has also passed extensive network service testing by the National Security Council and provides Law Enforcement with the highest standards of security that law enforcement requires.

Another recent capability is due to VITAL’s network capacity and our critical demands for network security.  We have built, and operate our own Internet gateway. Basically, this means that we have become our own Internet Service Provider.  Vital has partnered with Verizon and Level 3 Communications to allow us to also now provide municipalities with security managed Internet access solutions which allow administrative control by municipal leaders as well as the privacy and security that government operations require today.

The VITAL statewide network also allows for highest-level security for any or all other intergovernmental communications including secure email (VMAIL), which is only available to municipal, county or state locations. We also have begun to provide high-speed access for Police Departments to access secure resources such as NCIC. VITAL attained the highest-level clearance and approval through intensive on-site testing at several municipalities by federal agencies.

VITAL is in the process of submitting a disclosure of our resources in response to federal requests for government service vendors to assist in the new Homeland Defense initiatives which will rely heavily on the coordination of technical resources and capabilities of local, county and state government.
